'Oro's Preludes, or stop telling me to add guitar to every piece!

One guitarist only. Jake Church doesn't get to be that guitarist. I don't care that he plays in a duo with Joel. One guitarist only. Would you suddenly hire a second violinist for a violin concerto? Or a second oboist for an oboe concerto? Or a second percussionist for a percussion concerto? - No, you fucking wouldn't, in large part because it would be pointless and expensive. Two guitarists would also cost a lot more, and it would muddy the texture. The orchestration was designed to stay out of the way of one guitarist. Something that it does exceptionally well, I might add. First, you've got to pay me the licencing fee. Second, you've got to pay Joel like he's a top-flight musician. Then, maybe you'd end up paying a second guitarist as much. Focus on a) realising you've never heard Joel play, b) hearing him play the piece, and c) paying him to perform it with OW or NZSO if he's good enough. - You HAVE to stop asking me to rewrite my music before paying for it. Same thing happened with the new string quartet: 'put guitar in the final movement, or we won't agree to play it' - the guitar can't pitch those microtones, and it's set to a very specific tuning in Mākutu, one which can't be altered during the tacet movement. The synth is under tempo. It should be a fiery finale, which NotePerformer can't emulate. It's written for a string quartet, not for a computer. Stop telling me to add extra guitar because I'm famous as a guitarist. Accept that my compositions are balanced and carefully constructed. Sorry, you weren't part of the creative process, no matter how much you wish you were. I spent many hours writing this piece. Somehow, I feel that I deserve to be paid. Buy the music at market rate. Give it a really solid go. One rehearsal performance. Then, if alterations are needed, you will pay me extra to provide them. - If you ever mention this again, NZSQ, NZSM, NZSO will never be able to play my music. Amanda will never premiere any performance with any major orchestra in NZ. Joel is willing to. Jake badly wants to, but indecently assaulted me. Somehow, I feel that everyone taking Jake's side - turning me into a pariah - means he can't play my music now that I'm respectable again, and the Preludes are on the map. NZSM and the NZSO will apologise to me for trying to troll me regarding this.

Unless somebody taped the Facebook broadcast, the final cut doesn't exist. There's a version that's ten minutes shorter which one of my old drives might contain. If I'm really lucky, it'll have a few

I reckon the NZSM has lost of sight of their main goal: excellence in classical music. When I say classical, I'm including gamelan and Indian/Persian etc. Jack's legacy makes that our undeniable sel
