Ok, it must be frustrating that even a fan of the party would rather give their party vote to another party! I'm very principled, though, and I personally think that the Indigenous issues are probably slightly more important than climate change as a whole. - Gerry doesn't vote. Waiheke feels much like Eastbourne. It's funny that people think I swim -- I stopped in high school due to gender dysphoria. I was quite good, though. I played underwater hockey, so I can hold my breath for ages. The Greens feel like a cult to me. That's why I've reacted negatively to their overtures; I let my Maori Party membership lapse for a year, then I attended the SGM last year and decided then to throw my lot in with them rather than the Greens. - My main problem with joining the Greens is that I'm ambivalent about joining an international movement, which is essentially what that amounts to. Although the Chris Bishop clip is from 2020 -- which I might add a title to clarify -- I reckon 15% is totally a realistic goal for the Greens. I dunno how one gets all the unregistered voters to vote on Election Day, though; maybe something like those vans from The Candidate? If I remember correctly, there's special forms for people to register on Election Day. So, in theory, if the Greens visited the homeless shelters on Election Day and drove them to the polls, that could increase their turnout. Or Labour... it's a good idea.
