More dumb suggestions that piss me off

'do the best of your EP because that's what Bret and Jemaine did' - no. The entire thing that I've been doing in my musicals is trying to sell Kiwi audiences on the idea that songs can tell stories, and not just jukebox autobiographies. - You - the money people - lack the vision to support that. Has the NZFC ever funded an original musical that used original songs to tell an original story about something that wasn't just a thinly veiled autobiography? - Plus I have had enough of being asked to perform the EP songs. The answer is no. - 'be self-reliant' - mate, it's pretty hard to get more self-reliant than the Dakumentary. The other thing about the Dakumentary is that those tracks were actually the ones that Dakta was listening to during his house arrest. How about you spend 6 years being stalked by the fuzz, then have a bunch of egotistical wankers tell you that you need to re-tell your story so that they can feel like they contributed, instead of ostracising you (like they really did)? - 'Do theatre' - no. I get to say no, and they get to fuck off. - 'Do a live gig' - no. Again, if the black screen wasn't voyeuristic enough for you, then that's actually your problem and not mine. Invite me to a party instead. 🎸 - 'Be our drug dealer' - already established that isn't possible. Fuck off, bougie people. - 'We love looking' - no, you don't. You want extensive rewrites and me to pass better. That's not fair, I don't have to, and paying me for my IP represents you actually having to pay for my suffering. Rewrites would be you guys rewriting the story because you didn't like the way that you came off in the initial draft. You cannot have my EP songs for that script, and I simply get to say no to that because my songs are registered with APRA. That means that I get to choose how and when my original songs are used. They are for Shipwrecked on Islands 2030, and not Weeded Out. No Tina movie, no 'be owen' only no. Only a $50,000 sale and me writing my book. - 'Please be a pro classical guitarist' - no. I have a rich, full life, and guitar is one facet of that. You're the ones that keep ghettoising me. I much prefer composing. Much like I much prefer writing to acting. - 'get a job' - if you're so concerned about that, how about finding me one? - 'be less crazy' - then stop pushing me to be Tina. That is the root cause of much of my insanity. It is beyond obvious that trying to be her caused me to upset Chloe. Be realistic about my legal rights, be realistic about my desires, and be realistic about the fact that nobody in the film business or the politics business has any legal right to force me to make my Weeded Out screenplay. Please talk to me sensibly and realistically about my other ideas.
