mangling the lyrics

Well, these fall into three categories: 1. I rewrote the lyric. That's Make The Girl Love Me or Far From The Home I Love. 2. Read it wrong, either from a PDF or from a sheet. 3. The lyric is wrong on the chord chart. I'm like a newsreader reading from a prompter. All those things happen when a show is on the boards. Tunes change as well, but as the composer it's my job to stand up for the written tune, unless I prefer the other version, which is totally something that happens.

Re: rewriting -- Queen's English. Said this before, but it's better with the rhyme imo. Don's version: 'All you Towers of Babel You gotta learn You gotta learn You gotta earn Your place on the team.' Amanda's version: 'All you Towers of Babel You gotta learn You gotta learn You gotta earn Your place at the table.' - I think When The Wind Comes Round wasn't right on Ultimate Guitar. Fairly sure it's 'one of these days I'll shape you' -- as I say, deliberate false rhymes are part of Don's style.
