That's something I've started saying after completing the Dakumentary. Before then, I felt rather whakamā about saying that, given that I hadn't gone to journalism school, and my experience was in editing rather than writing. Now, though, I feel like I am. I mean, reviewing Question Time and covering activism isn't exactly as important as covering issues like abuse in care, but it's definitely real news. Personally, I'd rather not work for Stuff, the Herald or Newstalk ZB. I think that this whole investigative/embedded thing is my niche, so I need to find support to do that, rather than taking a job like 'visual journalist' that might stress me out.
