I watched most of the first 4 episodes of the Dakumentary; I think that it's entirely obvious that I'm the MC, and it's not until episode 6 that I mention having a crush on Chloe. Black Velvet Band... well, she wasn't wearing her hair with a band, and it's a folk song (which I clearly established). I'm not planning to shoehorn Shipwrecked on Islands into the film -- it was awkwardly placed when I tripped on acid -- but maybe Machine Fatigue. - Re: VUW I was already vehemently opposed to working with them, and that's been true for well over a year, so I've been deliberately saying no to their ideas for my classical career. I'm not a classical musician, and their ideas were playing into my madness, which is NOT a good idea. This is why I gave up on the virtuoso career: I hate the pressures of that universe, though obviously I have the fingers for it. The funding decisions they've made recently were the nail in the coffin: though my script was about social sciences, they cut a whole bunch of music programs (including Te Auaha?). Getting lectured on financial management and 'good behaviour' from people with a $33 million deficit after the international students dried up, and an institution so rife with inappropriate relationships they altered their guidelines to prevent students and teachers from hooking up was pretty rich; attempting to butter me up with the expensive Miramar Creative facility also pissed me off. 🤣 I envy that facility, but I'd rather work with older people: I reckon 3 experienced crew are worth about 9-10 students.

This is why I'm not a politician, though; my decision was entirely despotic, but morally I think I'm in the right to criticise the uni, then refuse to be bought off by them. That's how I see my stubborn streak. 👍
