Amanda Happens To The Beatles

Look, I know that Paul's death has got all the vultures out of hiding hoping to resurrect the proposed Sony films, using the work that Sir Paul did with me, but no. If you want to know the story of the Beatles, this album is it. These are his memories.
I learned so much more than I wanted to know, and it nearly got me killed. These, though, these are pure fun. They're what the thing was really about: the music!! Sure, the Beatles were basically globetrotting superspies, but the music was the thing. - My view of the whole thing is two-fold: 1. Paul's position was firm: he didn't assign music rights to anyone but us. 2. These films are the most dangerous thing I've ever done, including the MJ script. I'd like to see our Invade New Zealand film, but the script is extremely vivid. I've suggested that we do a cartoon or a comic: anything but live-action Beatles. - Paul's archivists put them in a chronological order, but I've rejigged it slightly. I'm not doing any more tracks for this album, though I'll probably cover more tunes. I've gotten beyond sick of Sony sending in A-listers and posers to perv on my sessions. Yes, it's all me: Paul deliberately didn't do any bass or voice. Yes, they're all essentially one take per part. It's usually the first take. I'm extremely grateful that Paul coaxed me into doing overdubs: it took the drudgery out of what had been a very dry few years where nobody would sing my songs. He meant a lot to me, but at least I was able to be there as he died (unlike Sondheim).
I'd never overdubbed backing vocals until Pete and Paul decided to motivate me. Finally got to show off my chops as a vocal arranger!
