Actually, no I'm not. I've been very explicit: I was willing to sell the script, and now I'm writing a prose version of Tina's story. I wasn't standing in your way: I was simply refusing to work with you. Snarkily: why is it that you wanted me to be your star? Aren't you good enough? Aren't you supposed to be better than me thanks to that overseas post-grad degree?? -

I think that the consortium of interested Wellingtonians could have easily found that $50,000 that I'm asking for as a licensing fee. They were the ones that chose to threaten me with jail. That was hardly a positive contribution to my state of mind. Next time, let's do this right: meet me, discuss the IP, sign contracts. Be professional, or stop telling me that I'm being unprofessional for saying no when there was nobody in NZ that was brave enough to actually offer me any real money to produce Weeded Out. Nobody offered, and I refused any potential offers. That is all. I refuse to make Tina and I refuse to use my EP songs and I refuse to collaborate with VUW or Red Scare. That is all. That is my choice. We're doing 2030 Shipwrecked, and James and Cass can fucking shove it that my musicals are more popular than theirs, despite all the insular awards that they pick up every year in the circle jerk that is contemporary theatre. They think they're better than me, and they keep punching down. I literally left town because of how irritating I found their Ads. That's also the vibe that I feel about Tam, which is that she's a bit smug.
