People think it seems like a waste, but hear me out. All the mainstream studios are characterising us as a new paywall, but if all our cooperative members are plugging and discussing their media as well as ours, then it's not like they're entirely excluded from our platform. Exclusivity is about protecting the product rather than isolating ourselves from outsiders. We want people to have a great experience of the songs, then do their day. It's not about algorithms; it's about recommendations and connections. - Another feature that Paul digs is that each band will have a separate app or a way of creating separate buttons that link to them from the launching page of a smart phone. That way it's not Imagine Multimedia's The Beatles: it's still The Beatles. It's still Taylor Swift, not Disney and Pixar presents Taylor Swift.
