That was his pseudonym when he was in the USA. Lots of composers invent a name. All the Broadway people know him as Peter. Taylor knows him as Peter. The strange thing we found out is that Don knew both our fathers. Why didn't this turn up in the documentary? His affair with Jennifer was bad enough, but his affair with Sondheim was a legendary debacle. Everyone in NZ music still judges him for cheating on his wife with a man. He knew Sondheim for longer (and was seeing him earlier).

Sondheim and Jones wasn't a legal marriage, but they had commitment rings. All told, their affair lasted over a decade and Peter still edited the lyric books afterwards.
