Touring the Dakumentary

Well, hopefully there's some loophole that allows us to screen the film without paying the news companies, but otherwise there's always the guerrilla approach. So, that involves going to some abandoned part of town and screening it against a wall with a PA and then everyone watches it out there. It's really, really long. I think that a cut-down version of the first three episodes would still run about 3 hours now that I've added in my student films and that early Chloe video. - But yeah, the whole thing is probably 15-16 hours long. That's a long day. - Dakta told me straight-up that I'd made a good film after my first Weed Tapes campaign, so I figure that it has his blessing.

By the way, my real family was actually proud of me for doing that cannabis activism. My musician peers were a bunch of pussies, but my Haylock and Crawshaw (and Riddell) rellies were all broadly supportive of law reform, and my other uncle Stephen was particularly into it. I'm part-Irish - I have a large extended family. Most of them agreeing with me was quite something, and I'm fairly sure that I managed to persuade Barbara to vote yes. I realise that I have a lot of allies as well as enemies in the arts, but 500 members is a small percentage of the total number of people that could join, so it's about getting AMPP to expand slightly. Amber expressed an interest, but I don't think she's read my manifesto or constitution yet. She's a very political person, so she'll probably read them very thoroughly. - Last, but not least, the league: well, I'm challenging all my fellow Fantasy Parliament teams to come out of the shadows and create a Question Time fantasy league. It's a bit beyond my ken computer-wise, but if you let me know when I'm in town, then I could probably keep the scores on paper. That's also better for those who might be too famous to have their names revealed. I suspect National fans are scoring a lot more points than the fellow lefties. In hindsight, not visiting last Wednesday was a mistake; apparently, that's the day where all the action happened, and that's why Thursday was so blase. 👋🏻

I think the first five episodes are like a mini-movie version. That's about 5 and a half hours, or 6 and a half with this new footage as well.

I know the guys weren't keen about the ads. I don't really care: that was around when I began asserting my own identity as an activist rather than being their sidekick. They gave me permission to make those videos, though, and that's what was really important. 🥑
