Accept that I'm writing the book and no TV series is forthcoming. I put my views clearly out there that I thought those niche, tokenistic NZ TV shows about minority groups were pandering and producing misery porn for the elite.

Accept that I'm not doing any gigs because I'm sick of performing after having been on for most of the last 2 years. I'm tired of the grind, and I've got more important things to do, such as my Māori course and notating my Shipwrecked songs. - Stop trying to persuade me to be your token trannie and start supporting the goals that I'm actually keen on.

Your dream dies, but if you want to work with me, sacrificing Tina is a sign of trust and belief that I'm capable of telling more complex and varied stories than merely the story of myself coming out as gay.

Like, if that was the plot there would be zero interest. But, now that I'm a trannie, suddenly everyone's keen? That's exactly the tokenism that Choosing The List Rankings was designed to interrogate. 😠
