For starters, I think we need a new industry moniker for the IM vision.
Sound and screen is what my brother and I used to say on our RP business cards...
Sound, screen and stage?
It's not 'entertainment' - it's hoping to provide a practical guide to inner peace.
Altering consciousness industry?

I'm working with Paul and I'm expecting to release the records via Apple Corps or IM.
I'm selling him exhibition rights to my movies and my publishing rights, not my masters.
It would've been nice to own my compositions, but I'm not selling enough copies.

If I'm not mistaken, the crux of the issue is that Paul and Taylor own their catalogues.
This means that they can walk away from you and set up something else.
The rest of us are probably going to be indie artists who aren't name brands.
Dave Grohl's positive about the Foo Fighters, but Nirvana might be a stretch.
Split Enz would be a good get.

IM's goal isn't to acquire films, but it's intended to support all the existing film brands that are associated with the Beatles industry. We're making new movies for the platform.
James really doesn't want to supervise another streaming brand.
His focus is education and context.
The main idea is that everyone wants to be open about their fucked-up lives, rather than some publicist telling them that the world isn't ready for a man like Taylor.
Ted Gioia said we needed a Substack for artists.
Paul loves visual art, so it'd be awesome to work that into it.
That already has a name: GLAM sector. We expect to work extremely closely with the GLAM sector. That's IM's core audience, alongside all the keen fans of certain groups.
The vision is that most kids in the Commonwealth will have access to IM via schools, libraries, universities etc. It's a wee bit Ready Player One, but that's the idea.
