The apologies

They essentially fall into two categories: 1. People that were unknowingly behaving in a transphobic way, but came around and eventually began to support me when I educated them.

2. People that were knowingly calling me 'not trans' and knowingly calling me a paedo, and knowingly calling me a freak. It doesn't matter how woke you pretend to be, if you did this to me, then you really do have to own it and admit some guilt.

The first group gets to apologise informally, at their own pace.

The second group does it as soon as possible because they want me to do shit in Wellington this summer, and this is the only way to lift my boycotts. - No compromises, such as paying me to avoid apologising. Frankly, you should pay me AND apologise, particularly the people that shopped my script around to potential producers without gaining my permission to do so. - That second group actually has to articulate the crimes that they've committed as well, because that admission of guilt is what I expect in lieu of a court hearing.

I know this will be painful and uncomfortable for you, but imagine how I felt in my room for the last 3 years, dealing with your supercilious comments.

Imagine if it was me doing that to you... then you'll know how I felt.
