Bm7 Dmaj7 You can conquer all your fears. Bm7 Dmaj7 You can finally shed those tears. Dmaj7 Cmaj7

They'll say you're on the mend, Bm7 Dmaj7 And you're living with your friend. Bm7 C#dim7 Sing it from your heart! Dmaj7 Cmaj7

We'll make a brand new start. Bm7 C#dim7

Make it sweet and smart:

Bm7 Dmaj7

Just sing it from your heart.

Bm7 Dmaj7 We can share another beer Bm7 Dmaj7 As we finally make it clear: Dmaj7 Cmaj7

You're more than just a friend, Bm7 Dmaj7 Who drove me around the bend. Bm7 C#dim7 Sing it from your heart! Dmaj7 Cmaj7

We'll make a brand new start. Bm7 C#dim7

Maybe we'll be smart:

Bm7 Dmaj7

Just sing it from your heart.

For the people that want to know what it's 'really' about: At a certain point, songwriting instinct takes over. That's when it transforms people. Otherwise, it's like listening to the phone book set to music. The song is about a friend of mine, but it's also about anyone's friends.
