Re: the opera. That's what I was saying, though it sorta looks like she's flirting with me based on when Golriz chooses to read my messages.


She hasn't committed to it, and nor has Dave Roil. Dave A's definitely committed, as the score is registered with APRA with both of our names on it. It's being written atm, so The Perfumed Garden is likely to be premiered in 2026 or 2027.

We're friends; Golriz doesn't know me, but does remember me from Parliament. She's definitely been snooping into my life. Nothing illegal, just normal internet stalking. Took her a few weeks to respond to my friend request: when people do that, they're usually vetting you. Was going to meet her during J Day, but didn't have the money for the trip. My pitch is that she should visit me here. Wellington's CBD is easier to navigate, plus then it's on my home turf. Presumably, she saved up some money from being an MP...

Dave R and I are bouncing ideas around, and he seems very keen. He's doing a fashion workshop next month that I'm lined up to film, and possibly a runway. He's made some new stuff that might suit the opera - mostly dresses - but maybe I should ask him what he reckons Dorerame should wear.
