They could simply and easily clarify that they understand that my copyrighted material isn't their property and that they're cancelling any plans of producing that script. If you want me to participate in society, I've got to retain my human rights, and that includes the choice of where I study. I wasn't charged or convicted, so it's reasonable to say that punishing me for my social media profile by making me direct/star in a film is absolutely and utterly not restorative justice. A film produced by a university for the sake of attracting students to the university? That's an ad, and I refuse to have my screenplay reduced to an ad. The Wellington Stories trilogy plugs VUW anyway, so be satisfied with that.
