When I was in Year 11, we did a faux-Spanish song by Bob Chilcott and it had some moves. I was singing tenor, so ended up harmonising and dancing with the girls.
People might have noticed; let's just say that the music department was very enlightened when it came to different teenagers, and that in my day the only real problem with feeling equal was that crossdressing was largely seen as a joke.
I was in an all-girl class for photography in Year 13, but barely paid attention.
People noticed, but trans wasn't a word on the tip of everyone's tongues back then.
