My interpretation of VUW's decisions about funding was that they essentially plan to dismantle the conservatory aspects of the NZSM and replace it with a more generic US college-style 'music' paper. That's why I said 'split priorities' - the Town Hall idea was the opposite idea, which was doubling down on the NZSM as a music conservatory.
