The opening vamp is actually my variation on Adam Guettel's vamp from the opening song of The Light In The Piazza (Statues and Stories). I figured that out on guitar. However, that's not a truly original vamp. That's a variation on the vamp from Beautiful in Sunday in the Park With George. Seriously, go to the scores and it's very obvious. Guettel uses a #11 that isn't in Sunday while I bend the rhythm so that it's not all in 4/4.
