My laptop is fucked, but Gary had a spare from the Daktory days. I threw my phone at the wall last night, and now the phone is running but the screen isn't, so it'll be a journal rather than a film, unless I can scrounge a spare camera. I cracked a nail yesterday, but I had a run-through of my samba when I arrived at Lindale Village (where Gary lives), and it sounded ok. - Hannah postponed the Portrait of a Knight screening. I'm not sure when it'll be, but I'll follow up on that after this trip. - Got some free weed. Gary's medical weed looks quite nice - it's got THC, unlike my medical cannabis. I'm hoping to discuss my prescription with the medical cannabis people at the conference. 2020 me had a great hemp balm which I used to reduce inflammation in my wrists. My scales were 150bpm during the 2020 Election, but speed isn't really my goal atm: I'm quite enjoying focusing on really slow playing with the jazz ballads. - Music chat: Lucinda read/listened through the Pan score with me (I've got a YouTube playlist with the full score), and seemed to like it. She dug the final movement... I saw Gary's sample of Nicola. It was crack-up! The process he used was quite similar to how I built my loops: he built it in the video editor, which is how I composed/assembled the music for Chloefilm. - Update: Dakta had a court visit this morning, and the prosecutors are proceeding with the case. His medical prescription had expired, and the rosin = Class B charges. There's nothing about concentrates in the medical cannabis legislation, which is why Gary reckons they're proceeding. Gary reckons Dakta should apply for a discharge without conviction. I'm glad that Wellington is more liberal than rural NZ, and apparently the Auckland police are also more enlightened. - Arrived at Golden Springs around 11:45pm. The guys are watching BHN, which is new to me. It's fascinating. An adult conversation about sex education. Dr. Tracy Clelland. We're traveling to Waiheke Island tomorrow...
