I started taking piano lessons from my Mum when I was 3 or 4. When we were four, it was clear that my brother was picking up the piano faster. Mum said that I could learn guitar and demonstrated a few chords. Since then, guitar has been my main instrument. I took a few drum and percussion lessons, plus I spent three years playing trombone. - When I began, I took Suzuki classical lessons for a while. After they'd stopped, I kept working on book 3, and picked up a Spanish-sounding piece that I'd play all the time. In Italy, I had 18 months of lessons with Emmanuele Segre. Didn't play rock or jazz until I was 11, though I listened to them.
