I come from a family of pianists. My older brother Jeremy does it by ear.

My twin brother Stephen studied classical piano. Took some jazz lessons. My maternal grandmother Ruth Crawshaw studied briefly with George Martin. She was an excellent accompanist/teacher. Pippa, my Mum, got fairly good but dropped out of high school. Pippa sang nightclub music and jazz accompanying herself. She also sang in jazz choirs. Pippa has a very strong contralto. I can read piano music, but can't do RH/LH independence unless it's improv.

Jeremy encouraged me to put all the music school chords in the jam band sound.

Symphony: no, you can't contribute

Dr. Fisher and every so-called 'better' composer at the NZSM has to cease. My themes aren't your property. Only I have the legal right to develop them. Please accept the truth: I've got Paul McCartne

I took keyboard at music school and took some basic jazz piano lessons as a teenager.
