Keeping a secret

Yeah, I know: totally unlike me. Golriz told me that in confidence. I blabbed in part because I was pissy that the party delayed informing me about Chloe's meltdown.
Plus Golriz is hard to read: to be bold, the deal that Chloe and I made as advocates was that we'd live our lives in public, while Golriz has layers of protection. -
Presuming Chloe doesn't hate me, it's probably similar for her as it was for me: I had a bit of a crush from meeting at the weed conference, and subsequently enjoyed seeing her at events or seeing her in the media. Didn't use Facebook to stalk her until later.
Then 2020 happened and we were both in the spotlight as poster people for weed, which worked out better for her than it did for me, given she wasn't advocating as a user that wanted their grower buddies to get paid and have their convictions expunged. 2021 was when all the spies began to get involved. After the demo music videos.
Political people saw those videos and wanted to see how I was doing, but 2021 was my meditation on whether to continue with being an activist. Perhaps Mandy's book might have sold me - I've skimmed it at Gary's - but I wanted to reach that decision on my own. -
By that point, I had ample life experience to write the teenagers. After Sondheim died, I chose to keep the activism up, but to do it in a new style.
Much like I rebranded in 2023.
