Chatting with Karl atm: yes, the credits can be altered, but it'll take days rather than hours. Which means I'll end up paying him for the thankless task of painting out the temp credits frame-by-frame, $50 per credit was Karl's mate's rate quote. - Plus the $3,500 to screen it at the National Library. So, $4,000 there, plus god knows how much to buy the licenses for the TV news clips. and also the Arik and Vinny Eastwood clips. I'm very much invested in getting that film onto a streaming service, even though I doubt I'd make any money from doing so. Costa Botes told me and Stephen that he got $5,000 or some other piddling figure for selling one of his documentaries to Netflix. If one of the news companies bought the film, I think that'd be the easiest method, but I haven't approached TVNZ yet.

Abe's using this upcoming medical cannabis thing as a soft launch for the Auckland club; that's what Gary speculated anyway... I'm not sure if I can afford a 4-day trip up north. That's next weekend, and I said I'd let Gary know by Thursday. 🥝 I don't think I can sell tickets to recoup the costs for the National Library as a venue, but I could check into that.
