I actually like my body hair, so I'm wearing that to Parliament to remind you that I like that style, and that was the style that I chose when I initially came out.
I think I'm pretty enough, but I do notice that the facial hair makes a huge difference in terms of perception, and that's why GMA has those laser hair things that they schedule.
Like, I've done some laser, so my hair isn't so ridiculously Robin Williams thick as my bro.
This is really reflective of that 'let 'em eat cake' mentality from Weeded Out, though. Even with my advantages, it's still actually way too expensive to get all the cosmetic things done, then society shuns us for saying no and saying that we're valid as non-passing trans people. When I was working for RNZ, I was able to get some laser hair removal done. So, in fact, I was using my salary to pay for my transition... On the dole, it's way out of my price range. My penis isn't a source of shame for me, and it's other people that are freaking out regarding a bulge in my pants. I mean, I look like a man in a dress, so what are they expecting? I think I look good as a transvestite, and I feel better than I did as a straight person. Pākehā society isn't so keen, but it's hardly illegal.
