co-housing

I read some of a North&South article... That's just retirement village-style housing.
I do think that my neighbourhood benefits from Central park, though.
When I was in Milan, all the apartment complexes had shared parks or gardens.
But, to give you an idea of the bureaucratic nightmare Italia was: when I was at Via Ugo Pisa school, there was a tiny playground on the school grounds, and a huge park across the road.
Despite this, they never let us play in the big park. We had 1 1/2 hr lunch breaks, and school was 8am-4:30pm.
When we moved there, we'd been led to believe it was mornings only for Italian schools; I think our school was open for so long because it was a working-class neighbourhood, so both parents usually worked. 🐸
