Why don't I like live performances?

Well, I just don't. I don't like the audience, and it doesn't give me a buzz to perform live. A great tape is better for me, because that's something I can listen to for ages. Plus I don't have the sort of voice for opera anyway... it's nice, but it's not powerful. And I seriously don't like body mics and amplification. I don't want to give that sort of performance, I have no interest in it, and that's just the truth. I don't go to stadium rock shows and I don't go to the opera: it's just not my life. - While clearly I have gifts for movies. So yeah, I'm not going to change my mind, and my songs aren't for sale. They're for the project I'm developing, not the project anyone else is trying to develop. I will never change my mind, and I wish people would accept that. I just don't want to be part of that world, and that's a fair, realistic decision that I made because I prefer a real job. I don't care about who 'Jo' is -- she's a movie character and I'm not selling my script to the opera. I refuse. I just refuse. I'm not a rock god, and I had no plans to be. I think of myself as a composer, and not as anything else.
