Why be open about your pornography?

I'm hardly ashamed to admit I'm a pornographer, and I always try to say that you can be a full person with an active online sex life (if you want to be). It's not sleazy gangsters or clients extorting me. It's sleazy producers who think that they can leverage the shame of my secret life. It's not a secret: that's the problem. As a trans person, the only safe life is one that's completely in the open. Without human rights, you need to journal and collect mountains of evidence.
