Why all the cartoons?

I totally think my banal habit of watching American cartoons (and sharing them) is probably one of those baffling things from the perspective of people that are grown up and cultured.

When I was young, the Simpsons was available virtually everywhere that we travelled, so it has an extra significance for me due to those childhood memories.
