Well, this year it's being a writer: finishing my book and my 2030 screenplay. And maintaining my blog, which is the wellspring of all this sudden interest in my work. - The Māori course is important, but it's also a pretext to allow me to use the Student Allowance to improve my quality of life -- the extra $80 a week is making a difference. I'm never going to return to VUW, so people need to find another solution; I found that other solution by studying with Te Wānanga O Aotearoa. Paying me for private lessons could also help relieve some liberal guilt... 💰 - I'm very keen to move to another city, but that's for after 2024. I decided that I'd stay here for one more year when I signed up for the Māori course. Even if everyone loves the book, I'm still going to refuse to perform Tina. That's my legal right. I'm plenty visible as Amanda, and I've got plenty of real protesting to do in the halls of power. I'd rather live somewhere else than stand as a candidate, but I could easily do AMPP in Auckland or Christchurch or Dunedin. I'm happy enough in Johnsonville, but I feel like there's this ineroxable pull to become a Wellington lifer, and that if I don't escape now I'll be trapped here forever with people that I'm not overly fond of.

My general mood is still depressed, much like it's been for the last fortnight. Mostly feeling lousy: 3-5/10.
