Well, if it was, I've cleared up all those questions by now, and it's mostly searchable on this blog. Regarding the Parliament TV footage, I've been messing with those for a while, and the Chloefilm was an extended experiment, which I followed up on with the Jacinda and Debbie films (alongside the samples of Grant and Nanaia). I might chuck The Sweater into the Dak film. - The documentary itself isn't misleading. Chloe and I are never in the same room or same space (though we have met for real), and people presumed Dakta and Gary were gay, so clearly people are morons. 🤣
If I was brown, people wouldn't have reacted the same way. I do feel like I face prejudice for being white occasionally due to the music that I write, which is hip and 'with it'.
The best thing about the torch songs is that they're unrequited love songs, so I think that's also remarkably consistent within the world of the Dak film.
I consider my music and VFX as enhancing the footage; with the alcohol bill, I thought it was particularly apropos, while I only had Premiere Rush for the Marama and Debbie films, which are mostly just different colour grade presets.
