No, I'm not going to do films or plays of my monologues. The monologues are truthful, while it seems like you all have significant issues with my truth.
I'm not watering it down, and I'm not passing. I'm not kidding: That's a wholesale rejection of who I really am. I came out proudly non-passing, and now I'm honestly appalled to find that my body hair gives me dysphoria because of the awful reactions that hairy lady me got.
I want to be in-between. But I also want she pronouns. - If it was good enough for Sam Hunt or Bruce Mason (or Manny) to do dramatic readings, then that's good enough for me.
To VUW: accept that I've chosen to study elsewhere, and I'm not returning to do some lame autobiographical drama for people that honestly despise me and are choosing to blame my behaviour on the drugs (despite my outspoken nature being obvious even in 2012). I'm entitled to enrol with whomever I choose, and I didn't choose you. -
You're gutting all the arts programmes, then it seems you're proposing that I make a feel-good film to paper over that. Sorry, I'm not interested - my scripts = my rules, and that's simply the benefit of being a writer rather than a director.
