Hi, I gather that you've heard my Merrily demos. I don't really want to be Frank or Charlie, but I really like your films. Big fan.

The main problem is that if I do this one movie, then all the publicity will be about me as a man. And then everyone will say 'see, he's not trans!'

It would validate all those detransition attempts if I agreed to play a male role.

I could still bring a lot to the production without being an actor.

Like, I'm a director too, and I speak musician-ese.

Mary... that's another question. I think I sing that one particular song well, but I doubt that I'd be totally convincing. But yeah, the window must be closing on finalising casting. I read that you've recast the principals at least one time already.
