For the love of God, please stop fucking stalking me! I don't want to post musicals videos because I'm afraid that James and Cass will try and use those to force me to work for them ... newsflash: sharing the same references doesn't make us friends, and your condescending and patronising attitudes about my shows are unforgiveable! 🤬 If you - Wellington artists that are upset that I'm famous - want me to be less rude, then give up your vicarious kick that you get from controlling me via threats, intimidation and blackmail while I'm wanking and actually write meaningful letters that are about treating me as your equal. I'm as good as you are, but unlike you I haven't been paid because I was too busy fighting the fuzz to avoid jail time. I refuse to work with Red Scare, and that is actually a bottom line. I cannot trust people that catfished me (yes, they really did). That is fair. They have no legal right to force me to work with them, and things like 'it annoyed us when you were singing on the way to work (because I had a 5am start!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 )' or 'how dare you criticise us for being shallow in Weeded Out' are precisely why I hate them... their privilege over my need to sing while walking in the cold = punching down, and that it never occurred to them that I might have been simply walking to work was bloody insulting. I also dislike their work - see my review of M'Lady - and their attitudes. In and of itself, that should be enough: it's actually called freedom of association when someone refuses to join a group, and coercion isn't consent. 👋🏻 I was baffled that Wellington took all of Weeded Out so personally: it's not even satire, but even daring to use the phrases that people really used seemed to shake up those people that had been harbouring prejudicial opinions about me since I decided to slag those people off in 2020. Basically, they'd mocked me behind my back for years, but suddenly I was telling them my story from my perspective, and they realised that they had been arseholes. That's fine, but it doesn't make me want to work with all those people that weren't fans. If I'm to be rehabilitated, I sincerely wish to do it anywhere other than Wellington. That's fair, and in fact those Red Scare people have all done their OEs, plus Michelle's able to travel quite easily now that she works for VUW. I've been the one holding the fort and actually giving a shit about New Zealand songwriting, and now it's on them if they want to get real and do that kind of musical -- I've already done it several times, and that is why I'm moving onto my nationwide musical. If you're able to imagine how Tina could be with Amanda singing, then apply that thinking to your stars, and write your own story that examines your lives rather than borrowing my folksy wisdom. That's a challenge. I think it's a good one, too.
A litmus test hypothetical: would you still want to be my friend if you weren't dreaming up ways to exploit my body, my guitar or my voice? 🏳️⚧️
