Stop asking about The Perfumed Garden. The answer is no, I'm making a stage piece. Taylor owns her movies, or she wouldn't be discussing Imagine Multimedia with us. You'd love to front like you own Mx. Swift and the Beatles, but you don't. My cease and desist letters from 2024 still apply in 2026. Read them and stop.
I'm the rare thing in 21st century musicals: I have original IP that's as good as the old stuff. Even Lin's record is slightly patchier than mine. Unfortunately, I'm not an ingenue. There's no co-songwriters or arrangers: it's entirely me. At 31, I know the value of my songs. It annoys you that Apple Corps made a cartoon, but it was very well-received in the global South. It wasn't a ripoff. It wasn't a remake. It was totally new. Shut up, piss off. Disney doesn't own my music, and I'm not interested. - Hollywood needs to piss off. I have a rabbi: I have people working with me. I'm not interested in Oscars or A-list fame. I'm interested in getting paid.
