The upsides of being readable

Writer: Amanda RiddellAmanda Riddell

I might be crazy, but it's very entertaining. That's why I get to vent my spleen, though honestly I do find it odd that I'm apparently a celebrity. The whole notion baffles me. I just thought of myself as someone who wanted to legalise weed. I don't think I have to play Tina for the notion to come across. In fact, I think that it'd be better if it was a brown queen, and that's where the destigmatising of stoners is more important (given white folx aren't arrested for dealing .. I wouldn't call handing my friend a gift dealing). And I really don't want to deal weed to fund the Weeded Out thing. That's something I entertained, but ultimately I chose not to deal because I don't feel comfortable handing weed to people in lieu of money. I've taken that sort of gig, but I wouldn't want to abuse the power dynamic of dealer-client .. I'm getting the weed off Dakta (that's more like a birthday present), so I'll be able to sort that out next week. My birthday isn't for another week and a bit, but people should RSVP shortly, because otherwise I'll be cancelling the screening due to lack of interest. RSVP by Wednesday. If only 10-15 people do, I might be able to subsidise the meal. I haven't finished inviting people yet; I got distracted editing the film and forgot to check my list. I can't get onto the RNZ email from home, so I haven't invited anyone from work yet.
