In NZ, it's still fine to criticise the politicians, and my life is as public as theirs, so I feel like that gives me a perspective that's sympathetic to their public profiles. I think James and Marama are very professional and good leaders for the Greens. But that's why I'm not as interested in their feeds, whereas I'm more into what Golriz and Ricardo write about. Welfare reform is super-important, and I'm feeling that from the perspective of having spent most of my twenties on the dole. I think Arena's feed is very good, and I reckon she'll win Manurewa. I follow Rawiri and Debbie too, and think their stuff is generally good. 2020 me was more all-over and canvassed the conservatives too, but 2023 me is mostly focusing on left-wing politics. Grant's another Labour MP I follow, but only sporadically. The news is still a better source of information than Facebook feeds, and that's where I get most of my politics info from. - Print media is cool, but I dunno if I could afford a subscription to the Post. Or if I could get it delivered to a boarding house. - I follow Tamatha and Tory too, but they're not central government (yet 🤣).
