The Beatles as queer icons

I'm getting what I perceive as a lot of pushback at any idea of Paul as a transvestite. It's ironic, given they tried to ward me off by saying that he got off to my DeviantArt. Yes, the guys were those type of people. Boys is something that they worked up for the local queer clubs. - There's some people around the world that prefer to see them as virile symbols, but the guys were all a bit shit at having sex. John raped people, Paul couldn't, George didn't and Ringo preferred third gender people. This is the type of shit you find out when you're in the thick of it. - As for Paul writing some hit tunes: None of them were anywhere close to No. 1. They were just songs for B-musicals. He worked with Hugh Martin, who had a few no. 1 hits. Lived in California as a teenager for a bit, but didn't want to be a movie star. His real dad was an abusive dick that beat his mum to death. Tried to steal credit for I Never Dream When I'm Asleep. Hugh offered to take Paul in when he ran away from home in his early teens. He lived with Hugh and Nancy Walker when writing for Athena and The Girl Rush. At Last We're Alone demonstrates the playfulness of the Beatles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Gs1ylNyY38&list=RD0Gs1ylNyY38&start_radio=1 Paul wrote his own verses, which is why he liked 'Tis You: it had a verse. The typical form in those days was verse/refrain/release/refrain (Verse-AABA). - Ruth Knox was my grandmother. Kate's my biological one. She was apparently involved with High Spirits, hence the family joke that I'm revealing. There's a little joke about her in High Spirits. She helped Paul with that song. My uncle on that side said that Ruth and Adrian wrote some songs. George Martin taught Ruth throughout the 1940's, until 1950/51. Some of that was via letters. The Beatles delivered a letter to her during their NZ tour. To quote her memoirs: 'I had already sat exams up to Higher Local Trinity College exams when my parents sent me to learn from George Martin, a prominent teacher living in the area. He was the conductor of the Junior Choral Society, and organist at Oxford Terrace Baptist Church and was to have a major influence on my life, not only musically but also by his Christian principles. [George Martin travelled to NZ from the 1930's with the Air Force. Served for NZ via Britain during WWII. His real birth date was a bit earlier than Ruth's. They had a long-running affair. Adrian had Kate, and Ruth had George. He'd aged out of pop music when The Beatles turned up, but looked young].

'He placed a big emphasis on aural tests and sight reading, encouraging pupils to work at this daily, using the sight reading library which he had developed. George was convinced that all children could be taught to sing using his methods which included finding the natural pitch which the child produced and working up and down from there with the child, using a siren sound. I heard many children singing in tune after this form of tuition, and they were given the opportunity to join the Junior Choral Society, singing in part songs to improve their aural ability. Unfortunately while Adrian and I were overseas in 1984, George died suddenly from a heart attack and we were unable to attend his funeral.' Seems like he faked his own death... turns out that pop people do that. I'd never worked with pop stars before, but they've all got aliases and backup identities. It's probably a similar situation, where his wife didn't want the affair in a biography. Nancy's gone, but Stella is still convinced that Paul should be seen as straight.

My main point is that all the toxically masculine rock nonsense is post-Beatles. Those guys weren't about being the big man on campus: they were about the music. Only John behaved as badly as the typical rocker does nowadays. They were almost like role models, rather than temples to excess. - Like The Beach Boys, there were some familial relations in the group. All the guys were related by cousins or something.

Despite being a good pianist, George Martin thought the piano compromised voices. That's why he loved The Beatles. They could set A to whatever and keep in tune. Or set E, as it often is with guitar music. Paul and George had absolute pitch, but John had a very good ear as well. Ringo's a voice that he does, but he did sing a lot of solid backing vocals. Ruth died first, but he was still keeping track of my university studies. He probably saw my early orchestrations for Portrait of a Knight.
