Stop with the fucking jokes... if you shits had followed the letter of the law, this wouldn't have been necessary regarding those cease and desist letters.
And, as Lloyd Burr proved, the politicians are as stubborn as I am. 'strong, stable government ... making a lot of progress' 😂 So, why am I being told that it's wrong to repeat my statements over and over again? Because they're being paid six figures and I'm a 'bludger' .. when a rich man does it, it's being tenacious and crafty; when I do it, it's a symptom of mental instability. Does that sound fair to anyone else? - I'm sick of people spying on me, and I'm really sick of people using remote access to fuck with my head. I used to think it was my paranoia, but now I'm fairly convinced that it's entirely for real, and a total breach of my legal rights. - I've wasted 18 months saying no, and it's been 3 months since I published the first cease and desist letter. There's no possible way that my enemies could claim that they haven't read it, particularly given that I'm sure they follow my activities very closely. I've provided copious evidence to support my claims that nobody else has any rights to that material, and ultimately that should be enough to force people to respect my IP. Like, there's no possible circumstance in which I'm going to suddenly change my mind. In fact, I finally got over my writer's block regarding Just Like Yesterday, so I'm quite keen to finish that. If my enemies had any legal right to force me into production, then I'm sure that they would have done so. Instead, they've behaved like a bunch of spoiled children throwing a tantrum because I told them that they can't have their favourite toy. Pot calling the kettle black in that instance, but I'm not the privileged one in this fight.
Other than the $14,000 that RNZ paid me, I haven't gotten paid since 2020. They're the ones saying that 'you can't do the short stories, you can't do Shipwrecked, and that means you must do Tina' ... sorry, but again, my copyrights are actually property, and you're trying to steal my house from me without having made any formal offer to buy it, or to buy the land underneath (that's what IP really is). Responding with boycotts and cease and desists is a legitimate form of protest, and also a legitimate way of establishing my bottom lines; one of those is an acknowledgement that this war was a giant waste of everyone's time, and that my eventual victory was a foregone conclusion because of the way that copyright law is structured. Your attempts to use my colourful private life as a way of forcing me to consent were plainly and simply wrong. My private life has nothing to do with copyrights, and that is something that I've firmly established as well. You failed to press charges in a timely manner, and now a lot of my actions aren't really applicable in a criminal context. - I want this war to be over. Bluntly, I think I've earned a reprieve, and if you're unwilling to pursue the civil or criminal charges that you keep threatening me with, then you're wasting my time. The IP rights aren't up for debate, and your tactics over the last 18 months have caused me significant distress and mental hardship. I think that's fair. It's been 3 months since asked you to cease regarding that script, and I'm sure that the coalition's lawyers have been over my statements with a fine-toothed comb attempting to trip me up. They clearly haven't found anything, so it's time to respect my letters before I lawyer up and take y'all to court over this massive invasion of my privacy. 👍🏻
