Song plugging

An ancient term, I know, but that's how Gershwin and Kern started out... That's how I see the various covers in the Imagine Triptych. Don told me that some of these covers are worth loads of money. Hold lines that are too cheap to pay for master recordings etc. That's how they're motivating me: each cover is worth a song (lol). - We're discussing a cheap 4-CD release + digital. Taylor said she's willing to finance a vinyl run of Collective Memories. My main concern is environmental sustainability. A cheap digital album with some Park Road Post polish is my goal. We're not adding extra bits, but Mike or Stephanie could master the stems. - Apple Corps owns my covers of the Beatles. They're the ones that hold the licencing rights to those particular tracks. To them, this is the real windfall. I'm taking 20% of the total profits of the Triptych. 50% of Amanda Happens To The Beatles. Apparently, the money's starting to trickle in from the new hits. I wrote those, and did 98% of the instruments/voices, so it mostly goes to me. Golriz told me to rename the Wellington Stories films to a Triptych, so that's her contribution to the sudden success of all these songs. We made another film for kids, so Paul might sell that to the networks as well. I Te Pō Kātoa, Piano Finger Jiggles... needs extra videos for Trance Music. He's taking 60% of the total windfall. - I said that the Beatles IP was worth $10 billion earlier this year, but they're saying that our Imagine Triptych is worth that much on its own (alongside AMPP's other films). Haven't read High In The Clouds. It's cool that he's using the profits to fund it. Apple Corps aren't happy that he's siphoning off the bulk of the money, but it's not theirs. IP is worth more than branding, and there's not a shit-ton of Beatles branding in the films. That's the flaw in their current business model: the board owns the IP, not the company. Even if most of Apple Corps was down with Sony, the board refused to approve the films. The scripts sucked, so mine was seen as a solid rebuttal. Our negotiations with WingNut are stalled; the election's a month away. Peter and Fran are fence-sitters politically; Green/National voters. - Sir Peter's pitching some theatrical runs of the Wellington Triptych; we'll see... He says that the PSNA rally + Working For Each Other would be a good double feature. I'll make good money even if the Beatles never Invade New Zealand. Lots of stress, though... normal jobs aren't as hard.

I'm replacing Neill etc. in the band as well as the dudes that played instruments. Most of this year's headaches have been doing anger translating for Paul and Taylor.,, Re: the wedding -- Tay was in NZ. That was a lookalike. She's living in Brooklyn (yes, we have a Brookyln as well). Hopefully she'll guest on Regulated Wives, but she wants to do it without me watching. - They nick my stems from my computer. I've let Sir Peter access my computer remotely for various purposes over the years, but that's only related to films that he's produced with me. Shipwrecked On Islands music, AMPP or the Imagine Triptych The Dakumentary wasn't a WingNut thing, which is why he liked it. - It pisses me off when my enemies…
