I finally read that piece by Meryle Secrest about how he was frigid in bed, though curiously, she didn't discuss his male partners.

Yes, I said he was bi, but so are most people who are queer. But really, odds are on that he was like me or Gershwin: demisexual, and largely in love with ideas and music more than people (as in Sunday). - If I recall correctly, he was sleeping with his husband, and it sounded like separate sides of the bed, plus maybe some sex, but largely chaste. - Clarification for non-kink, non-deviant people: A huge amount of BDSM doesn't actually include sex. Domination, yes, but not sex. Most dommes don't offer that, and even consensual relationships are largely about dynamics rather than sex.
