Something I learned today

while hanging out with my classical composer buddies: Brooke Van Velden trained as an opera singer, apparently. But yes, the vibe around those people is conservative. It's the nature of the beast, even though this was a meeting of lefties. - For people who like to label things: I consider what I'm currently doing to be bedroom pop, despite the arty influences. That's what the new album makes clear haha. I think it sounds dope, and totally not what I was expecting when I decided to learn those songs! Obviously I still have goals in concert music, like getting my Preludes performed, but honestly it's probably not my life's work. Film probably is, but I'm a wee way away from doing any directing or anything like that. - my musical script is my main goal. I'm waiting to see if Labour's poll numbers improve before taking any more satirical potshots. Plus I'm just out of ideas, and the Grey biography isn't as enticing for some reason... this happens a lot with me; I'm an impatient reader, though a fairly quick one.
