resigning from the Tina show

Well, I didn't think we'd even begun production yet, but for the record this is me officially resigning from the show. I am no longer interested in acting, and I think it's better that those who wish to produce it simply purchase my scripts. Then they can make whatever musical they would wish, while I can keep my songs for my album. B, I wrote the Rose song for you, and the Sands of Time is also for you. Jo is for a rock singer, though, and ideally a girl (rather than a gurl). - I can see why Anna doesn't read the news when she's not at work.

It's somewhat weird to read it on the RNZ site vs. the iNews software.

But I get bored, so I read the news.

If you think I'm intellectually disabled, then I definitely shouldn't star in a TV show.

That's my point. This is what I mean by people exploiting me.

No, I'm not interested in anything the uni has to say; they won't apologise, so there's nothing to say.

See, they wish they could do half the things I do, then they persist in mocking my deficiencies.

That's why I think of those people as bullies.

-

And I am simply not letting you play Jo, Barbara. You're not a rock singer, and that's why I wrote the Rose song for you.

-

1. you can't do the sort of improv I do, the whole point is to shift modes and all that.

It's not about the licks; that part of jazz bores me, as it isn't really the point to me.

Stop saying what I 'could' learn, and accept I'm fine with my technical limitations because that's what makes my music mine and not somebody elses.

If you could write my songs, you would, jealous songwriters.

- Here's the thought process that led to this:

No movies, no series, no uni gigs. No means no.

Until the City of Wellington accepts I've said no to the movie or the series or any of their ideas, I'm not stopping.

No means no. It also means 'don't try detransitioning me'. Don't say 'you can only come as a guy', because that means I'm not coming. 👎 -

Gender dysphoria isn't a fashion statement, it's a diagnosis. That's a real diagnosis that I really have.

-

Not one episode. Not one scene. not one moment. No Tina movie means NO.

Only no. Forever no. Never yes, always no.

Stop asking = 'I'm not an actor, and stop wishing that I was'.

It's not fear - it's 'you people mocked me for so long that now I cannot possibly work with you'

-

I made really good musicals for my first and second shows (despite losing money). Now, I get to say what I think is appropriate for screen musicals. That means 2030 and it means terror cells and it means Shipwrecked on Islands.

That's what I'm saying. Let me cast singers to sing the songs the way I hear them.

It's not the start of something big. I've made 2 feature-length musicals already, which were better than the majority of NZ musicals. -

So, listen to me when I say which project I am pursuing. It is not the fucking Wellington show, and Tory and others will simply either buy me out and re-cast the part, or they get nothing.

No, Michelle C, no means no. Plus I thought you preferred the other script anyway. 👋 -

Not one beat. Not one fragment. Not one moment. No tina show.

It's not fear - it's me saying no.

Just listen and let me say no.

No, Alice, No, Rose, no, Don, no, Barbara. You're all wrong, and let me make the other story or fuck off and stop spying on me.

I'm not the one who wants a jukebox showcase for Wellington artists. That's what y'all want, so make it without me. I mean, I already did that with the RP Orgy (in case people haven't seen that), so yet again people are trailing my dust and copying my ideas imo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSKYV2EpFm0&list=PLdPWURKgx3sYcdnd1DDVdp8DLgV1i-cvI&ab_channel=RiddellProductions

I have the right to choose where my songs are used.

You lot didn't write a single bar or phrase of those tunes, nor a single line of dialogue. Therefore, I own everything and I get to say no.

I get to say 'I'm making Shipwrecked' and you get to listen. That's all.

I get to say no, and you get to either really write to me or to fuck off and accept how angry I am and how implacable my desires are.

See, if you'd really cared about the cause, then you could have been in my epic documentary, but you didn't and you weren't (though I used Barbara's voice). So, James and Cass get $0 for spying on me. -

And James Ashcroft: I'm simply not making the Tina movie, and if you'd read the script, you should have told me.

Now, I'm telling you that you can buy it, but I won't do it with you.

Just plain no. Not as a director, not as an actor. No Tina in my life, thank you.

I'm done with her, and by extension I'm done with the A.M. persona. Those two were more or less the same. 👋 -

I'm bitter. I'm angry. I'm hurt, and that's what the people who spy without writing have caused .. me to be hurt, and me to lose my mind. I blame several of my hospitalisations on the intractable attitudes of those who spy on me.

They haven't even considered that it might be their fault that I'm so crazy, but it is.

No series. No deal. Nothing but no.

I refuse to make it. I'm not an actor: why is that so hard to believe?

A lot of singers can't act, and I get to say no. I've simply said no, and if these were real offers, I could've said no and had it respected. -

So respect me as if you were paying me. I'm resigning from the Tina show, effective immediately, and the rest of you can either pick up the pieces, pick up the phone and ring me to buy the rights, or piss off and let the chips fall where they may regarding my activist career.

It's not that I don't care; if I didn't care, I wouldn't have offered buying the script as an option. That's me acknowledging that others could use my productions methods and my script to make something to satisfy them, rather than trying to force me to bend to their will.

That's childish. That's pathetic, and that's why I don't respect the NZ arts scene. These people want to lord it over me, yet it's my gifts that they wanted to leverage for $1 million.

So, they can accept their attitudes towards Amanda have been regressive, insulting, transphobic, and well worth criticising. 👍
