re-reading the scripts

Yes, Shipwrecked is clearly the superior script. Weeded Out is fascinating, but more as a document of my twenties than as a potential film. I think the prose version is more promising than the screenplay, though it's possible that someone else might take the bones of that project and make something out of it.
