No, I'm not premiering the piece myself. I insist that someone else play it: I want to set that precedent with the first performance.
It's not that I'll never play it, but I want it to be a popular piece that classical guitarists the world over can play, rather than tied to my particular approach.

My main idea for films is Bad Man 2 (which I haven't discussed with Ethan yet, but he might read this):
I was thinking about my recent stories, and reckoned we could do a Black Mirror-type vibe with The Plaything, Choosing The List Rankings, The Day The Flat Burned Down, and Approaching The Infinite.
And then Ethan could bring whatever mean-spirited sketch ideas are brewing in his brain.
I'm not sure if anyone would want to act in those, though; my role isn't to hire crew people - that's what my brother did, while I'm more the one who manages the disputes.
Yes, the thought crossed my mind that I could have done the list rankings sketch solo, but that's stupid. It's not a technical challenge - it's just that I'm not Taika and I'm better at voice-overs.

For those who think it's fun to needle me:
Calling me a he isn't helping me, and I'd also point out that just because Tina said she was an actor doesn't mean Amanda is. If I'd wanted it to be a real autobiography, I would have used Amanda Michelina as the character name: Tina's a composite - I'm not the only crossdresser among my classical friends.
That's why I think another person could make that role their own, while my own focus is mostly on fixing my IRL problems rather than pretending. I'm applying for jobs, but it's not a priority for me, and I'm not that certain about my September recital.
My dumb phone can make tapes, but only short ones. I can't upload them, but I'm fairly sure my phone is bugged. I've always wanted a clean device, but sadly that's not really possible. Right now it's only a 3G signal, but Aj told me that the cops can listen in on those frequencies.
I'm definitely serious about moving to another city. I'm loving being outside Wellington, and I've applied for another RNZ role up north. Publicity department.... I've never applied for a marketing job before, but it seemed up my alley. Plus I'm yet to hear about the sub-editor/reporter position I applied for with Mediaworks (also in Auckland). I can't drive. I don't have a license, so let me know if that's a problem re: reporting.
