Am I really to believe that he's such a pain in the arse that you'd rather watch him from a distance than attempt to treat him? Compared to my fairly relaxed experience of being a troublemaker, he got arrested on at least a half-dozen occasions. As I wasn't there, I can't say what went down, but lots of people have found him scary. - Well, as I say, I basically tuned out after 2020 when he spent ages accusing Pippa (Mum) of abusing him, and I wasn't really aware that Megan - yes, it's freaky that she resembles Chloe .. I find it it weird too! - reads this blog until recently. - I wouldn't call her a bad influence, but she was the person with those anti-vaccine views that was filming him while he sang that Jericho song. Lots of artists in Wellington have conspiracy beliefs, particularly my brother's friends. I mean, I've heard seemingly rational, stable adults at art openings talk incredibly seriously about past lives ... there's lots of irrationality in the New Age/Hippie thing. - After the occupation, most people weren't talking to him, except for Megan, as he'd managed to break up the Psychohistorians band by freaking out one of the Mums. What I do know is that he called me up ranting about this initiation that he'd been through where he had to repudiate me. We've had a few long chats on the phone this year, and he didn't mention any of that stuff, except for a bit of a stoush that we had over the Covid inquiry. Unsurprisingly, he's now leaning towards NZ First. - As I said, you'd have to explain how the C.A.T. essay was disinformation. I read it and knew that he wasn't well, but yeah... I just thought it was a bunch of rambles in need of some structure. He redrafted it, which was cleaner, but it didn't really have a point (imo). Like, it's a question: should we save the technocracy?
