I was never banned from Question Time, but I was told that I wasn't to visit her electorate office if I was in Auckland following The Big Smoke (where I only filmed the exterior). That was the downside of the ad, but only cos people didn't listen when I said 'Patria' regarding the person that stood me up. She's a friend of mine that lives up there. The party last year was at her campaign office, which was literally a separate office further down K Road. And that wasn't really my idea: Gary dragged me there. - As I said, I wasn't born yesterday: the Greens haven't really been that subtle in their attempts to control me ... the Romeo song was more of a swipe at the SIS, but it certainly had plenty of anger for all the groups that are spying on me.

This brouhaha that (probably) happened at the tangihanga was probably the first time that I realised Chloe was truly crazy, and that she's probably somewhat obsessed with me -- like, somehow I didn't really click that she was like my really obsessive political fan. But yeah, I have fans as well. I'm familiar with fandom, and my script was a reaction to realising that I had an audience: it wasn't so immediately apparent after Riddell Productions whether the audience liked me, or whether they liked the company. -

A Night To Remember is mostly about the way that movies live in our memories, and whether that's different if it's all AI. We all crave those human touches that make movies real, and AI is smooth and slick. Well, it is now; my crude early tests demonstrate how far we've come.

Re: the parents -- well, I think a lot of the parents like my music, but I don't think that many of them see me as marriage material for their daughters. I'd say that the crisis was about getting older and feeling unworthy of being loved. That's been the feeling for most of the last two years. Like, I got banned from Lucinda's house this year. Our relationship is fairly limited as a result of her Dad threatening to disinherit her if we were to become a couple.

There's people that I flirt with a bit, but there's nothing serious in my life atm.

What am I doing in the vocal harmonies?

Moving from chord-defined to melody-defined. This Boy - the original song - is a beautiful example of melody-defined. Plus all that Māori stuff. They almost never write it out. Even at my language co

Beatles anthology

I'm watching it slowly. One episode a day or so. What people really want to know is what I reckon of the AI. In a word, uncanny valley. Peter's budget dwarfs mine, but it's still similar. 3-5 second

Why don't I overdub everything?

Quality of the song alone and all that jazz... Yes, I can harmonise, but every hit song sounds essentially the same these days. It's like special sauce. The naked demos were distinctive. Again, it wa
