On a macro level, so I think that should also be respected on a micro level. 👍 I think it's a form of virtue-signalling when prominent journalists with six-figure salaries make a big deal about quitting booze in their 40's; they have access to privilege, stable jobs, family support and have a firmly established place in society that they established while drinking like fish. 🍺 - I'm willing to discuss reducing my alcohol and drug use, but I'm not prepared to quit. My immediate family still isn't speaking to me, I'm running through my savings while attempting to find a job, and I feel like the mental health system is failing me, though I blame the system rather than any of my clinicians (who have all been competent). This strike is designed to attempt to resolve this 'nobody talks to me' vibe.
