Well, opera with a capital O has all these strange ties to mysticism and alchemy, which Alan Moore references in Promethea. Monteverdi, like Newton, was a practicing alchemist.


Verdi's operas helped to unify Italy, and he was briefly an MP. Andrew spent decades as a member of the House of Lords. Politics and opera go together. Wellington Stories largely espouses an aesthetic agenda, but The Dakumentary expresses a political agenda.
